HISTORY

Galte-Re, along with Vidar and the Green Lantern of Durla, was assigned to prevent the Legion of Super-Heroes from learning the origins of the universe.

After stopping the Legion, Galte-Re's comrade Vidar attempted to discover the origin himself with hopes to become more powerful. He was defeated by the Legion of Super-Heroes and stripped of his power ring. Due to the interference of the Guardians of the Universe, the United Planets government then banned all Green Lanterns from Earth.

Many years later, Galte-Re was one of many individuals secretly abducted and taken to aa Prison Planet. Stripped of their memories and identities, this was part of a larger plan by Universo to raise an army and attack Oa. The plan failed as fellow inmate Saturn Girl led a revolt against their captors and ultimately defeating Universo once more.
