Synopsis: - The Guardians reveal to Hal Jordan the true origin of Gorilla Grodd, which is not quite how it had been explained to the Flash. In one of Hal's earliest adventures as Green Lantern, Grodd and his fellow gorillas originally lived on the alien planet Calor. As their city was in danger, the gorillas used their mental powers to tap into Green Lantern's energy and move their city from Calor to Earth.
- Later, the power-hungry Grodd tried to seize Green Lantern's ring for himself and take over Gorilla City, but the would-be conqueror was soundly defeated. To keep Gorilla City a secret, Solovar wiped Green Lantern's memories of the incident. Gorilla City would later be visited by the Flash, beginning a friendship between Solovar and thew Scarlet Speedster, though the truth of Calor would not be revealed.
