OVERVIEW

Bast is the cat-headed Egyptian goddess of the sun, the moon, cats and love. She has had some dealings with Dream of the Endless.

HISTORY

Bast, also known as Bastet, is the cat-headed Egyptian goddess of the sun, the moon, cats and love. She is the daughter of Ra and is, just like her sister Sekhmet, Ra's avenger, "The Eye of Ra". Her son is the lion god Mahes. Bast is also revered by the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall, and together with a coalition of other goddesses from different pantheons, Bast is a modern-day protector of all Amazons.

At some point in time, Bast met and befriended the dream lord Morpheus, a relationship which convinced Ra to send Bast along with Anubis and Bes as his emissaries when Morpheus was to give away the keys to Hell to a new master, thousands of years later.

Today, Bast is extremely weak, slowly fading away due to lack of worship. Her recent scheme to have the cats take over the world failed miserably. Bast regards all felines as her people.
