HISTORY

The self-proclaimed strongest man on Krypton, Bal-Gra was for reasons undocumented sentenced to the Phantom Zone. Decades later, Bal-Gra escaped from the Zone via a temporary space-warp and came into conflict with Superman. His great strength may have defeated the Man of Steel but for the arrival of Lois Lane with a fragment of gold kryptonite which stripped Bal-Gra of his powers. The inventor Lorraine Lewis, who had created a duplicate of a Phantom Zone projector, sent the villain back into the Zone.
