HISTORY

One of the earliest angels who followed Lucifer to Hell, the demon Aztar later regretted his fall and asked Heaven for forgiveness. God agreed and transformed him into a vessel of his own Divine Wrath. Stripped of personality and memories, Aztar became the Spectre, the Heavenly avenger and punisher.

More recently, Hal Jordan, a former host of the Spectre, abandoned the Wrath of God. As it is no longer part of him, it's unclear how much, if any, of Aztar's essence that is still part of the current Spectre.
