OVERVIEW

One of the Titan Seeds, Athyns was a powerful man on his home planet. When this planet was destroyed, he decided to protect Ozyron, the home of one of the other Titan Seeds, who had perished in battle.

HISTORY

The child who was to be known as Athyns was saved from death on planet Karakann by the Greek goddess Rhea, and brought to New Chronus in order to be trained along with 11 other "Titan Seeds" as replacements for the waning Titan pantheon. Athyns was named after the city state of Athens, while other children were named after other great cities of ancient Greece. During his training, Athyns met and fell in love with Sparta for all time, as the belief of predestination is customary on Karakann. Their training complete, the Titan Seeds were returned to their homeworlds and their memories were erased in order for the seeds to learn the ways of their respective cultures. Upon reaching adulthood, the memories of New Chronus were to return and the seeds would take their rightful places among the Titans. Athyns was returned to Karakann, where he became Prime, most likely a military title.

Unfortunately, the brainwashing did not work on all the seeds. Driven crazy by her memories and responsibilities, Athyns' lover Sparta conquered her home planet Synriannaq and then decided to eliminate any future threats towards herself by killing her fellow Titan Seeds, one by one. With the help of Troy, now a superheroine on Earth under the name Wonder Girl, and her teammates in the New Titans, Sparta was defeated and her mind erased. Athyns' fellow seed Xanthi of Ozyron had given his life to protect Athyns, and in return Athyns, having seen his own world destroyed in the conflict, decided to serve and protect the people of Ozyron in honor of Xanthi. With him, he brought his former lover Sparta in order to care for and nurture her back to health.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As Prime of Karakann, Athyns wore a metallic battlesuit, but the full extent of his godly powers remain unknown. He most likely possessed some sort of telepathic ability.
