HISTORY

Tinya Wazzo lives in the 31st century and is a hybrid of two extrordinary humanoid races. Born on the partly-otherdimensional planet Bgtzl, she has the native ability to phase her molecules and make herself intangible. She is also part Carggite, a race that can split into three beings. Tinya's manipulative mother, the United Planets Ambassador of Bgztl, arranged for her to join the Legion of Super-Heroes. Using her natural phasing abilities, Tinya a.k.a. Appariton soon became a valued member, something that did not change when her mother was revealed to be a criminal. A romance with fellow Legionnaire Ultra Boy soon developed into a serious relationship, and they eventually got married.

On a visit to the 20th century, Tinya discovered her Carggite heritage. Her father had been a Carggite criminal who had given away her two other bodies as a baby to the Luck Lords. One of these bodies ended up being flung into the past, where she became Phase of the L.E.G.I.O.N. Upon meeting one another, Phase and Apparition merged, and eventually returned to their own era. Tinya's third body is still missing and she can no longer separate her two current bodies due to the physical death of one of them.

Apparition and Ultra Boy currently raise a child who displays both of his parents' extraordinary abilities. However, the parents' relationship grew somewhat strained after Ultra Boy had been stranded in the Second Galaxy while Apparition had spent some time with Timber Wolf.
