HISTORY

A strange other dimensional entity, possibly a psychic parasite, who appeared on Earth attacking the Justice League of America, who defeated and imprisoned the villain. The Antithesis was released by a Bromwell Stikk, who was empowered by the creature and became a supervillain under the names of Mr. Twister and the Gargoyle. The Antithesis then brainwashed several members of the JLA (Batman, Green Arrow I, Flash II, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter) and had them go on a crime spree. The heroes' teen sidekicks (Robin I, Kid Flash I, Aqualad, and Speedy, plus newcomer Wonder Girl I), then banded together to save their mentors and trapped the Antithesis in limbo. After the battle, they founded the original Teen Titans.

In recent years, the Antithesis returned for revenge. Attacking Nightwing in his dreams, he also arranged so that the Titan Herald involuntarily weakened the walls of the Antithesis' prison every time he used his weapon, the Gabriel Horn. However, the Titans discovered this and banished the Antithesis once again.
