HISTORY

His true origin unknown, the alien sentient calling himself the Anti-Hero claims to be billions of years old. In that time, he further claimed to have slain hundreds of thousands of super-heroes across the universe. What has been proven is the Anti-Hero is in reality a small reptilian humanoid inhabiting an armored exoskeleton. Using a spacecraft to take himself across the stars, the Anti-Hero would study his prey then lead it into a trap. Once defeated, the hero would be placed in a gelatinous cocoon. The Anti-Hero would torture and kill at his leisure. One such victim was the hero Ontor of Valeron.

In many cases, the hero's homeworld would never realize the Anti-Hero had struck. No search party would ever be organized and the Anti-Hero would leave as quietly as he came. This did not happen on Earth.

Thinking he had captured Superman without any loose ends, the Anti-Hero did not know of the hero's identity as Clark Kent. Supergirl, Superboy and Steel were able to find the Anti-Hero's spacecraft. After an initial defeat, "Team Superman" was able to best the Anti-hero and expose him for what he was under the armor. - Team Superman #1
