Synopsis: - Strange things are happening in the Baker household; objects move, a Ouija board goes crazy, and a mysterious stranger appears and disappears. Maxine claims it's her daddy, but Buddy is still on his way home from Africa. Meanwhile, James Highwater is traveling across America to meet Animal Man, and is plagued by strange dreams. And a killer calling himself Lennox kills a suburban woman and her daughter.
- Buddy returns from Africa and finally confronts the mysterious stranger – who looks exactly like an apparition Buddy saw when he was twelve years old. Then the strange figure disappears again, leaving behind him an unseen message – "9/27".
