Villain(s):
- Manchester Black (last in Superman: The Man of Steel #131; dies)
Synopsis: - Superman has returned home to discover that Manchester Black has killed his wife, Lois. Black taunts him and goads him, but Superman refuses to take his life in revenge for his loss. Lois miraculously recovers when this becomes plain - Superman had been made to see her dead because Black wanted to push him over the edge. In the aftermath, Black purges Luthor's files which prove Clark Kent is Superman, before also purging this memory from Luthor's brain. He also realises that he has become a genuine super-villain, and is not at all pleased.
