HISTORY

An archaeologist, Dan Garrett came into possession of an ancient blue scarab which, through the ancient power of the pharaohs, transformed him into the Blue Beetle. In this form he was able to fly, and had a variety of other super-abilities which he used to fight crime and injustice at the dawn of the modern heroic age. He passed on his heroic tradition to his student Ted Kord, but not the scarab, which was lost along with his life.
